Faith Filled Copper Horse Wedding

This past Saturday, I had the absolute joy of capturing a Faith Filled Copper Horse Wedding for two of the kindest souls I know—Allyson and Kyle. This wasn’t just any wedding for me. Allyson and I go way back. We had the honor of leading a small group of middle school girls together at our church’s (Calvary Church, Lancaster) student ministries, and through that time, I came to admire her heart, her faith, and her genuine love for people.

A Heart for Missions

One of my favorite memories with Allyson was helping her prepare for a trip to Kijabe, Kenya—my childhood stomping grounds. Hearing her stories when she returned and knowing she got to meet many of the people and places that mean so much to me made my heart so happy. Allyson and Kyle both carry a deep love for missions and for others, and it was so clear on their wedding day how much they prioritize faith, community, and love.

Joy in the Journey

I got to spend some time with Allyson and Kyle last year during their engagement session, and let me tell you—there was no shortage of laughter. They radiated joy and were so natural together. Their chemistry, their kindness, and the way they light up when they’re around each other made it obvious that they were made to be a team.

Sunshine and Wind, but Mostly Blessings

Their Faith Filled Copper Horse Wedding was forecasted to be a rainy one, but God had other plans. Not only did the rain mostly hold off, but we were also blessed with loads of sunshine throughout the day! Sure, it was windy—but nothing could dampen the joy that was overflowing from every moment. From the emotional getting-ready moments to the incredible golden-hour portraits, we embraced the elements and made magic.

The ceremony was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever witnessed. Calvary Pastor, Adam Derus delivered such a powerful, gospel-centered message, and it was evident that Jesus was at the center of this entire day. There’s something so moving about photographing a wedding where the presence of God is so clearly felt. This Copper Horse Wedding wasn’t just a celebration—it was worship, community, and love all wrapped into one.

A Dance Floor Full of Life

The reception? An absolute blast! The dance floor was alive with energy, laughter, and some seriously impressive moves. Group dances, spontaneous conga lines, and nonstop fun made this Faith Filled Copper Horse Wedding one for the books. It’s always extra special when I know so many of the guests—friends from church, from the local community—it felt like one big family coming together to celebrate.

The night ended with a joyful sparkler send-off as Allyson and Kyle walked hand-in-hand into their new life together. It was the perfect close to a perfect day.
