MaryKate, who’s been my friend for over 15 years and was my maid of honor, is about to start a new chapter with her sweet fiancé, JT. It feels like just yesterday we met at a small group Bible study through our church. Who knew that meeting in such a simple way would lead to such a strong, irreplaceable bond? Through all the ups and downs—late-night heart-to-hearts, sharing an apartment, and even working together—MaryKate has been my dear friend. Our friendship has truly stood the test of time.
Celebrating Life’s Milestones Together
As the years passed, we celebrated each other’s milestones, from career wins to the joys of starting families. Naturally, when it was my turn to get married, there was no question who I wanted my side as my maid of honor. MaryKate was perfect for the role, bringing joy and laughter to every step of the wedding planning.

I can’t with you! I am so grateful you’re doing our wedding, since you obviously didn’t have to and could have just been a guest enjoying the day. Selfishly, I am happy you are because I wouldn’t trust anyone else to make perfectly beautiful photos of our day. To have a lifelong friend who knows you, can tell what you’re feeling before you speak, and has seen your face through the worst and best times there really isn’t anyone better to capture pictures of such an important day.
